High Salary Senior Piping Engineer

Job Overview The Senior Piping Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the Piping discipline within McDermott They will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and share their conceptual and practical expertise related to the Piping discipline The Senior Piping Engineer solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services The Senior Piping Engineer impacts a range of customer operational project or service activities with the Piping team and other related teams and ensures that they work within the appropriate guidelines and policies Responsibilities Key Tasks and Responsibilities Perform conceptual FEED or detailed design analysis and develop them as per project Scope of Work design basis project documentation design codes and standards and McDermott procedures within the planned schedule and budget Direct Engineering team as a Lead Engineer on small projects Apply skills and knowledge of the business take a new perspective on existing solutions to address problems and non-standard situations and report them to the Lead Piping Engineer at an early stage Prepare detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding Ensure interfaces and deliverables are identified Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve products or services Focus on health and safety policies and procedures Become fully familiar with the project Scope of Work Specification Schedule and all inter-discipline requirements Interface with other departments to obtain input for engineering and design Interface with High-Value Centers HVECs ensuring a clear understanding of their Scope of Work Support 3D-Model review at 30 60 90 progress Identifying changes to scope and promptly raising a notification Alert the team of any deviation from the Scope of work or a need for a change order Prepare design philosophies specifications pipe supports standard detail drawings MTO and material requisitions by the project scope of work and contract Explain difficult or sensitive information works to build understanding Fully familiar with P ID Line List Equipment List Layout Piping Specifications and design basis Work independently with minimal guidance when required Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience Reports to Project Lead Piping Engineer Project Engineer or Project Engineering Manager As Lead Piping Engineer Functional Department Manager Liaise With Designers and Engineers other Engineering disciplines Leads Construction and fabrication Groups Project Management Team Document Control Project Cost Control and Planning Group Procurement Group Subcontractors and Vendors Clients Supervises Associate Engineers and EngineersQualifications Essential Qualifications and Education Bachelor s Degree or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering 8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultants predominantly performing detail design Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society Flexible for Business Travelling Committed to McDermott values Detailed knowledge of Pre-FEED FEED and Detailed Design Phases of Projects Detailed knowledge and experience of design techniques and application of standards codes and guidelines Familiar with all Piping Sub-Disciplines including Design and Modelling Pipe Stress Support Piping Material Engineering and MTO activities and deliverables Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution skills Conversant with international codes and standards like ANSI ASME API BS NFPA etc Familiar with SP3D E3D Navisworks Familiar with stick-built and modularization approach LI-SK1About Us Lutech Resources has over 25 years experience providing tailor made recruitment and integrated resource management to leading Engineering Energy and Manufacturing sector companies worldwide We set ourselves apart from others in the industry by building long term relationships with both our clients and candidates based on a mutual understanding of their targeted industry and a passion for excellence With every engagement our goal is to quickly place qualified talent with the best suited employer We have a genuine understanding of candidates and clients needs Along with a dynamic and effective service we strive for positive outcomes for everyone every time
