JOB DESCRIPTION 2: IoT / SCADA Integration Engineer Title: IoT & SCADA Integration Engineer — Stealth Mode Climate-Tech Location: Hybrid / Chennai / Bengaluru Compensation: 40,000 per month About Us We are developing an advanced data and hardware integration layer for a large-scale climate-tech platform. We work with industrial data systems, sensors, meters, and automation interfaces. Role Overview You will build the data ingestion layer for the platform. This involves integrating industrial protocols and converting real-world measurements into secure digital data streams. What You Will Do - Read data from industrial meters & sensors - Integrate Modbus RTU/TCP, DLMS/COSEM, MQTT - Build IoT gateway firmware (ESP32/Raspberry Pi) - Convert field data → JSON for backend API - Implement secure transmission & timestamping - Work with EPC teams or industrial technicians - Test systems on-site (optional) Required Skills - Modbus RTU/TCP - DLMS smart meter reading - MQTT / HTTP - ESP32 / Raspberry Pi firmware - Basic electrical understanding - JSON data transformation - SCADA familiarity (OPC-UA optional) Nice to Have - Solar/industrial IoT exposure - Experience with any monitoring platforms - Knowledge of energy systems or automation Mindset - Hands-on - Problem solver - Comfortable working in industrial environments - Can prototype fast Why Join Us? - Stealth-mode, high-impact problem - Build a global IoT ingestion system - Founding engineer role with ownership
