Essential Job Functions

- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing large volumes of data using the dbt framework.
- ETL/ELT Processes: Develop efficient processes to integrate data from diverse sources into our Snowflake data warehouse.
- Cloud Infrastructure Operations: Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake, to support data pipelines and processing tasks.
- Data Modeling: Develop and maintain optimized data models and schemas for performance, scalability, and reliability using Kimball methodology.
- Code and Documentation: Participate in code reviews, maintain clear documentation, and engage in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement robust data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product management and software engineers to integrate data solutions into applications and services.
- Tool Evaluation: Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve data infrastructure and workflows.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree;
- Proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, and ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with dbt, Databricks, and handling large datasets with DataFrames.
- Ability to transform complex data into easily understood, actionable information
- Mastery with a core language and framework and experienced in another. Preferred programming languages are Java, Kotlin, Python.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience implementing best practices on big data platforms
