About the position We're seeking a smart, confident, and highly motivated professional to join our SMART Procurement team. The Assistant Manager of Purchasing will be responsible for driving cost-effective purchasing strategies, vendor development, and smooth material availability for ongoing and upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities - Lead the end-to-end procurement process for technicaland non-technical materials. - Develop, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships toensure quality, cost, and timely delivery. - Negotiate and finalize commercial terms, contracts, and long-term agreements. - Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Collaborate with project, engineering, and finance teams to align purchase requirements. - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and legal requirements. - Maintain and update purchase documentation, approvals, and vendor databases. - Track purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensuretimely project execution. Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or - related field. - 3+ years of relevant experience in Procurement / SCM / Vendor Development, Sheet metal industry. - Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. - Hands-on experience with Procurement Software, ERP systems, and MS Office. - Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
