The Role We are seeking a skilled and proactiveCloud Systems Engineerto join our IT team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure with a strong focus onMicrosoft Entra IDandMicrosoft 365services. You will play a key role in ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient cloud operations across the enterprise.As a part of our global IT team, you will be expected to deliver a high level of IT service and support to ensure that the technology of Hotwire and ROI-DNA runs smoothly and efficiently. The Cloud Systems Engineer role is a unique role in the IT Department that is primarily project-focused but also serves as a level 3 escalation point for Help Desk tickets. You will work to respond to and manage support incidents that are logged in our Service Desk system. You will be expected to carefully and effectively manage your time and presence as you will be reporting to an offsite manager. Hotwire's IT infrastructure is 100% cloud-based. You will need to be a pro at and equally capable on both Macintosh and Windows. Key Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure usingMicrosoft Entra ID. - Administer and optimizeMicrosoft 365services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID SSO and SCIM Enterprise Applications. - Implement and manageidentity and access management (IAM)policies using Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, and role-based access control (RBAC). - Automate provisioning and configuration on MacOS and Windows usingPowerShell and bash. - Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools likeMicrosoft Sentinel,Log Analytics, andDefender for Cloud Apps. - Manage ourEgnyteStorage platform. - Collaborate with internal teams to enforce data protection and governance policies. - Support incident response and root cause analysis for cloud-related issues. - Create and maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base articles for internal IT teams. - Configure SAAS environment for SSO and SCIM provisioning. - Automate computer provisioning through technologies such as Apple Business Manager and Windows Autopilot and Manage Engine MDM. - Manage cloud-based infrastructure services such as AWS, Sophos Anti-Virus, Mimecast, and Bitwarden. - Working Hours will be based on UK timezone. Required Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience in cloud systems engineering or IT infrastructure roles. - Strong hands-on experience withMicrosoft Entra ID,Azure,Microsoft 365, Egnyte, and AWSadministration. - Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash Azure CLI). - Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls in cloud environments. - Expertise withApple Business Manager,Autopilot, andManage Engine suite of products (including Desktop Central and Mobile Device Management). - Experience withRBAC,Conditional Access, andPrivileged Identity Management (PIM). - Strong experience with MacOS automated deployments and platform SSO, ideally using Manage Engine (Jamf or similar experience also acceptable) - Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Additional Responsibilities - Provide emergency or pre-planned out of hours support when required - Perform ad hoc IT related duties as assigned by your manager - Liaise with suppliers enabling access to IT supplies as and when required - Research and recommend new technologies, equipment and services to purchase, fully documenting the systems that we put into place - Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and documentation Qualifications and Skills - Great English communication, writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills - The ability to be accurate and work to deadlines even under pressure, while working co-operatively with others in a team, handling information in confidence and with discretion in a fast-paced environment - An ability to learn quickly and work without close supervision when necessary - Effective prioritization skills - Strong organizational skills, time management and keen attention to detail - Solid understanding of networking principles including DNS & DHCP and ability to support WiFi and Ethernet connectivity - Experience with MDM deployment, Mac experience is a MUST. - Office 365 administration, including 2FA, email and Teams Certifications - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) - Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate - Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)
