This is a critical skill for the role. Please note: We are NOT looking for heavy AI/ML-focused candidates. Key Qualifications - Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. - Strong expertise in Python and software engineering principles — version control, testing, modular coding, and CI/CD workflows. - Solid background in optimization and algorithm design (mixed integer programming, heuristic methods, simulation modelling). - Familiarity with optimization solvers and modelling frameworks such as Gurobi, CPLEX, Pyomo, or OR-Tools. Critical Skills - Proficiency in data engineering concepts, including SQL, ETL, data modelling, and data quality management. - Experience working in cross-functional product teams alongside software engineers and UX designers. - Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders. - A mindset focused on scalability, maintainability, and engineering rigor — balancing analytical depth with production readiness.
