Job Title Dance Teacher Location Deep Academic Heights Atrauliya Azamgarh UP Department Performing Arts Reports to Principal Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dance Teacher to inspire and guide students in the art of dance The Dance Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality dance instruction to students from beginner to advanced levels across various dance styles e g Classical Kathak Bharatnatyam The ideal candidate will foster creativity discipline and teamwork in a dynamic and inclusive environment Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Instruction Develop and deliver engaging and well-structured dance lessons tailored to students age and skill levels Teach a variety of dance styles including but not limited to ballet contemporary jazz tap hip-hop and folk dance Incorporate creative movement technical exercises and performance practices to enhance students skills Focus on building students technical proficiency choreography skills and artistic expression Classroom Management Create a positive respectful and inclusive environment for all students Promote physical fitness teamwork discipline and creative expression through dance Ensure safe dance practices monitoring students form and injury prevention during lessons Student Assessment and Feedback Evaluate students progress regularly offering constructive feedback on performance technique and artistry Track student attendance participation and achievements Offer one-on-one support and coaching to students who may need extra guidance or practice Choreography and Performance Design and choreograph dances for school events concerts talent shows or other performance opportunities Organize and lead rehearsals for dance performances ensuring that students are prepared and confident Work with other performing arts staff to integrate dance into larger school productions or multidisciplinary projects Extracurricular Activities and Events Lead or assist in organizing after-school dance clubs workshops or competitions Coordinate annual or seasonal performances such as recitals school plays or talent showcases Promote student involvement in local or regional dance competitions if applicable Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with other faculty members in the Performing Arts Department to ensure an integrated arts curriculum Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and participation Attend department meetings school events and professional development opportunities Material and Resource Management Maintain dance equipment props and costumes ensuring everything is in good condition Ensure that the dance studio is a safe and welcoming environment for students Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Dance Education Performing Arts or related field Master s degree preferred Experience At least 2-3 years of experience teaching dance to students of various age groups elementary middle and or high school Skills Proficiency in multiple dance styles and techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to inspire students and foster a love for dance Excellent organizational and time-management skills Certifications Valid teaching certification or equivalent as required by local education authorities Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate dance movements choreography and physical exercises Personal Attributes Passionate about dance and its ability to foster creativity and self-expression Patient empathetic and able to motivate and guide students of different skill levels Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage both rehearsals and classroom activities Collaborative and open to feedback from colleagues students and parents Salary Commensurate with qualifications and experience Accommodation available for outstation candidate Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 20 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Work Location In person
