Role: Senior Staff Full Stack Engineer Location: Remote Work Mode: Full-time Experience: 7+ years (including technical leadership experience) Language: English (Fluent, both written and verbal) Compensation: Competitive, based on skills and experience About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and hands on Technical Lead (Full Stack) to help scale our engineering systems across Frontend, Backend, and AI. You’ll play a key role in defining architecture, guiding teams, and building scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth with leadership skills, someone who can balance architecture and strategy with execution and delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering, lead cross-functional teams, and influence the overall technical direction of the company. What You’ll Do - Design and own architecture across frontend and backend, defining service boundaries, APIs, and data flows. - Lead full project cycles from discovery and design to implementation and deployment. - Build robust Python (FastAPI) microservices and modern React/Next.js frontends. - Implement event-driven and asynchronous workflows using Kafka, SNS/SQS, or EventBridge. - Manage AWS infrastructure using Pulumi or Terraform and automate CI/CD pipelines. - Establish observability frameworks for performance, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing. - Enforce best practices in security, governance, and compliance (AWS Well-Architected, OWASP). - Mentor and coach engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and technical guidance. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Design teams to align on priorities and trade-offs. Key Responsibilities - Define and uphold technical and architectural standards across teams. - Oversee technical planning, sprint execution, and project delivery. - Optimize systems for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Lead modernization initiatives - migrations, refactors, and new architecture foundations. - Drive incident response processes and implement reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs). - Maintain strong documentation and decision logs (ADRs). - Partner with leadership on data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks. - Contribute to team growth through hiring, training, and technical mentorship. Requirements - 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack engineering. - Strong expertise in Python (FastAPI/Flask) and database design with PostgreSQL. - Proficient in TypeScript/React (Next.js) with solid understanding of state management, performance, and accessibility. - Hands-on experience with Node.js (Express/Fastify/NestJS) for backend-for-frontend or API services. - Proven experience with AWS, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi/Terraform). - Deep understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and resilience patterns. - Experience implementing observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Sentry). - Excellent communication skills with proven ability to lead technical teams. - Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to make pragmatic trade-offs. Preferred Skills - Familiarity with GraphQL, tRPC, or Prisma/SQLAlchemy. - Knowledge of Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and vector search pipelines. - Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and edge deployments (Vercel, CloudFront). - Exposure to LangChain, AI/ML pipelines, or data-driven feature systems. - Understanding of frontend performance optimization and Core Web Vitals. - Experience in mobile backend architecture or large-scale system migrations.
