About LearnTastic LearnTastic com provides online continuing education for industries such as childcare healthcare and construction We re now building the next generation of LMS technology an AI-adaptive learning platform that dynamically serves lessons based on each learner s needs similar to what Alpha School and other adaptive models have pioneered Job Summary We re seeking an experienced Senior Laravel Developer with exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide our backend development efforts The ideal candidate will bring deep Laravel and PHP expertise a proactive approach to collaboration and the ability to mentor and coordinate a small team of developers This role combines hands-on technical development with team leadership ensuring projects are delivered efficiently securely and to a high standard Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a small team of Laravel developers fostering professional growth and teamwork Design develop and maintain robust scalable and secure backend solutions using Laravel Collaborate closely with front-end developers designers and product managers to define project goals and deliver impactful web applications Conduct code reviews maintain high coding standards and champion best practices in development Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity in project requirements progress and challenges Troubleshoot debug and optimize application performance Oversee project timelines ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with business objectives Maintain thorough technical documentation and ensure consistency across development projects Required Skills Qualifications 5 years of professional experience in PHP development with 3 years focused on Laravel Proven experience in a senior or lead role managing or mentoring other developers Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong understanding of MVC architecture RESTful API design and modern software development practices Proficiency with relational databases MySQL PostgreSQL Experience with Git version control workflows and collaborative development processes Working knowledge of front-end technologies HTML CSS JavaScript frameworks Solid analytical problem-solving and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud platforms AWS GCP Azure Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and CI CD pipelines Demonstrated ability to manage priorities provide feedback and inspire others in a dynamic environment What We Offer Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Flexible working hours and remote work options Opportunities for career advancement into technical or managerial leadership A supportive collaborative and growth-oriented work culture that values communication and teamwork Powered by JazzHR
