Company Description As a leading global investment management firm AB fosters diverse perspectives and embraces innovation to help our clients navigate the uncertainty of capital markets Through high-quality research and diversified investment services we serve institutions individuals and private wealth clients in major markets worldwide Our ambition is simple to be our clients most valued asset-management partner Group Description The Insights Analytics team within ABs Private Client Group is looking for an Analyst to join the team and to improve overall team productivity Insights Analytics is responsible for developing tools models reports and or analyses to answer key business questions and to enable improved productivity We typically work in one of four specific areas 1 building a data infrastructure by converting raw data into useful actionable information 2 conducting analyses at the request of partners and internal clients to answer key business questions 3 building reports in Excel and or Power BI to enable our partners to have improved access to key data and 4 creating datasets to enable the creation of dashboards by a development team The candidate will report to the VP of Insights Analytics and will produce analytic deliverables to help measure and improve various business outcomes such as ABs digital and offline marketing strategies client acquisition strategies portfolio optimization etc The role will be hands on with data and will access data across multiple channels including web data client data and business performance data Based within the advanced analytics team the role will be an expert in transforming raw data into accurate impactful analyses including reporting predictive modeling and ad-hoc analyses The role will require extensive knowledge of Excel and SQL as well as other advanced database mining languages for extracting and analyzing data Analytic projects will typically be either short-term less than one week or medium term 3-4 weeks The candidate will work closely with other team members to establish our hypotheses the data the approach and the desired deliverable and then will work to deliver a satisfactory deliverable that meets our clients expectations What makes this role unique or interesting if applicable Opportunity to explore a wide variety of interesting data to work on a wide variety of interesting questions and to leverage analytic and data skills to generate creative helpful solutions Qualifications Experience Education This position requires Very strong Excel competence including advanced Pivot tables VLOOKUPs and advanced formulas Medium to extensive experience in SQL for extracting data from production tables Familiarity with any of the following for analyzing data R Python SAS SPSS Positive and constructive attitude and have ability to quality review output of own work with a focus on accuracy speed and tenacity Strong data acumen with the ability to understand the meaning of data and what it does or does not represent Enjoy working with data and in transforming raw data into useful analytics and insights Special Knowledge if applicable Demonstrate proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to the analysis visualization integration and modeling of large and complex data sets Broad knowledge in programming coding querying reporting advanced analytics and statistics Candidate must be responsible highly organized detail oriented and efficient Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication skills both written and oral are a must The candidate should have strong problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment The candidate should also be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously Qualifications and Education BA or BS degree required Experience in working closely with data should be demonstrated Location Pune IndiaPune India AllianceBernstein
