Job Title: Associate Category Manager – Puja Calendar & Astrology Location: Bangalore, HSR Function: Puja Category & Content Reports To: Category Director Role Overview: We are looking for a curious, business-oriented, and culturally aware professional to support the Puja Calendar and Astrology category. The role combines cultural insight, analytical thinking, and user understanding to help design and scale offerings around India’s religious and astrological ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a basic understanding of the Hindi calendar and astrology, with a keen interest in user behavior, engagement patterns, and business growth levers. Key Responsibilities: - Category ownership for the Puja Calendar, ensuring accuracy of festivals, tithis, muhurats, and other cultural events. - Conduct user and market research to identify engagement opportunities linked to astrology and calendar-driven themes and collaborate with the Marketing team on implementation. - Work closely with the Category Leaders to plan and execute calendar-based campaigns and initiatives. - Collaborate with Product, Content, and Design teams to integrate key features or content based on festival and astrology insights. - Analyze data on user engagement, retention, and feature performance to suggest improvements. - Coordinate with internal and external experts (astrologers, cultural consultants) to ensure authenticity and alignment. - Monitor industry and cultural trends to inform category strategies. Key Competencies: - Cultural Knowledge: Basic understanding of Hindi calendar, astrology, and key spiritual/ritual events. - Analytical Mindset & Attention to detail: Ability to interpret user data and engagement metrics to inform decisions. Ensures data and content accuracy. - Project Coordination: Strong organizational skills and comfort working across functions. - Business Acumen: Awareness of how user needs tie into growth and engagement goals. - Content Sensibility: Appreciation for spiritual and cultural storytelling. - Curiosity: Deep interest in India’s spiritual and astrological traditions. - Collaboration: Works effectively across teams and stakeholders. - Adaptability: Flexible in managing evolving priorities and fast-paced timelines. - Ownership: Takes initiative and follows through on deliverables. Ideal Background: - 2–4 years of experience in category management, product support, user insights, or content strategy. - Exposure to or interest in astrology, spirituality, or cultural products. - Strong communication and coordination skills.
