About Position: We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with Data Modeller (Power BI, Tabular Models, old MDX background). You will work closely with our engineers and business teams to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of our data pipelines. - Role: Data Modeller - Location: All Persistent Location - Experience: 12+years - Job Type: Full Time Employment What You'll Do: - Data Modeling & Architecture - Design and develop tabular models using Power BI and Analysis Services (SSAS). - Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models. - Optimize models for performance, scalability, and usability. - Power BI Development: - Build and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards. - Implement row-level security and manage data refresh schedules. - Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver insights. - MDX & DAX Expertise: - Leverage MDX for legacy cube queries and support existing OLAP solutions. - Write complex DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs. - Migrate MDX-based solutions to modern tabular models where applicable. - Data Integration & ETL: - Work closely with data engineers to ensure clean, reliable data pipelines. Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs. - Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across models. - Partner with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs. - Document data models, definitions, and business logic. - Provide training and support to Power BI users and analysts. Expertise You'll Bring: - 12+ years of overall experience - Experience into Data Modeller (Power BI, Tabular Models, old MDX background) - Proven experience in Power BI and SSAS Tabular Model development. - Strong command of DAX and MDX query languages. - Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts. - Experience with SQL and data integration tools. - Familiarity with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL, Data Factory) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. - Microsoft certifications in Power BI or Azure Data. - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. - Background in finance, operations, or enterprise reporting domains.
