Security Research Specialist

As a Security Research Specialist, you will design and conduct security research including malware analysis, threat and vulnerability analysis, adversary tracking, threat intelligence, detection and remediation development and other technology application focuses related to the understanding of the threat landscape with intent to disrupt adversaries or provide protection via defensive products and services. This opportunity will allow you to generate solutions including first party mitigation and working closely with customers and partners as well as support operational security and security incidents as well as security reviews and reporting. Responsibilities - You will provide results of research to inform improvements or issue resolution as appropriate. - You will help analyze threat trends and anomalies to determine operational impact and determine vectors that introduce threat and potential mitigation strategies by learning about systemic security issues and how to address them. - You will help process threat reporting from internal and external sources and work to identify and process technical indicators as well as provide discrete threat data based on intelligence requirements or customer requests. - You will identify security defects or vulnerabilities and escalate as needed after identifying deficiencies in security guidance and ensuring you properly escalate to determine scope of impact and to relevant parties as needed. - Under guidance, you will identify areas of dependency and overlap with other teams or team members as well as provide constructive input, so the work is integrated and timely. In addition to communicating the status of deliverables and dependencies to meet schedule. - You will learn and understand the current state of the industry, including knowledge of tools, techniques, strategies and processes that can be utilized to improve security while maintaining knowledge of current trends within the industry. - You will embody our culture and values. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
