Job Description Title: Senior Java Back End Developer Experience: 10+ Yrs Client: Top MNC in India Location: PAN India Job Description Mandatory Skillset: - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Oracle SQL-PLSQL Role Description As a Senior Back-End Java Developer, you will build robust, high-performing, and scalable solutions with a focus on customer experience. You will ensure high code quality and support the team in delivering solutions on time and within budget. Business Objective 4 years ago, Proximus initiated a strategic OSS transformation program to modernize the provisioning of telecom services for its customers. Central to this initiative is the implementation of the Network Service Abstraction Layer (NSAL), aligned with the Telecommunications & Media Forum (TMF) standards. This layer facilitates the provisioning of both services and the customer-premises equipment (CPE) required for activation. As part of this transformation, a major project was launched to replace the legacy CPE management system. The first phase has been successfully completed with the deployment of a new CPE management platform. The next phase will focus on redesigning the IT system that interfaces with this platform. To support this evolution, the project team has been strengthened with four new team members. This initiative contributes to the broader goal of implementing a TMF-compliant system for managing CPE resources, in line with the company's digital transformation strategy. The selected candidate will join the CPE Management squad, composed of six members within the Network Activation and Automation tribe. This Tribe is responsible for provisioning various telecom services (VOIP, internet, TV, etc.) and is driving an ambitious project to transform and digitize the provisioning system. Key Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot). - Develop secure and efficient REST APIs for inter-service and external integration. - Optimize database queries, storage, and indexing for performance and reliability (SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). - Ensure high code quality through unit testing (JUnit), regression, and integration testing. - Use TestNG and RestAssured for automated testing of APIs and services. - Use SOA concepts and SOAPUI for integration and service testing. - Document delivered code and solutions. - Participate in project estimations and Agile ceremonies. - Participate in the implementation of releases following change and release management processes. - Provide solutions (bug fixes) for problem management. - Provide support to the operation team in case of major incidents requiring engineering knowledge. - Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers. - Collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders. Degree & Experience - Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - 10+ years in software development. - Experience in a telecommunication environment is an asset. - A strong understanding of Telco OSS is highly desirable, particularly with practical experience in TM Forum (TMF) standards and APIs. - Agile (Scrum) principles. Technical Skills - Proven experience as a Java Developer. - Strong knowledge of Java programming language and related technologies (Spring Boot, microservices). - Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle). - Experience with API design (REST API/SOA Webservices). - Experience with unit testing tools (JUnit). - Experience with TestNG and RestAssured for automated testing. - Experience with SOA and SOAPUI for integration testing. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub). - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, OpenShift). - Experience with code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube).
