Job Title High School Social Science Teacher Location Chikkabelavangala Doddaballapur karnataka School type CBSE Affiliated Position Type Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic knowledgeable and dedicated Social Science teacher to join our academic team The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in social science subjects including History Geography Civics and Economics As a Social Science teacher you will inspire students to develop critical thinking skills foster a deep understanding of societal structures and help them connect historical events with contemporary issues Key Responsibilities Lesson Planning and Instruction Design prepare and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in social science subjects History Geography Civics and or Economics that meet curriculum guidelines Develop a variety of teaching materials including lectures multimedia presentations case studies and hands-on activities Use diverse instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities Ensure a balanced approach to teaching theory and practical applications Assessment and Evaluation Assess students academic progress through assignments quizzes projects tests and presentations Provide constructive feedback to students to foster growth and improvement Monitor and document student performance and academic development Classroom Management Create a positive respectful and productive classroom environment Implement effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and encourage active student participation Establish clear expectations for student behavior and uphold school discipline policies Collaboration and Professional Development Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and participate in faculty meetings Stay current with developments in social science education and implement best practices in teaching Participate in professional development activities workshops and conferences to enhance personal and professional growth Student Engagement and Support Foster an environment that promotes critical thinking curiosity and intellectual exploration Encourage student participation in discussions and group activities Provide additional support to students as needed through one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions Curriculum Development Contribute to the development and review of the social science curriculum to ensure alignment with state standards and educational goals Suggest updates to course content or teaching methods based on student needs and educational trends Extracurricular Activities Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to social sciences such as field trips debate clubs or history fairs Encourage students to participate in community service projects or events that connect with social science learning Qualifications Education A Bachelor s degree in Social Science History Geography Economics or a related field A Master s degree or teaching certification is preferred Experience Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the high school level preferred Experience in using educational technology and digital resources in the classroom is a plus Skills and Attributes Strong knowledge of social science subjects and current events Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage students with diverse backgrounds and abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning and delivery Passionate about fostering a love of learning and critical thinking in students Working Conditions Standard school hours with occasional evening or weekend work for meetings grading or extracurricular activities A positive and collaborative team environment Opportunities for career growth and professional development Remuneration Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience as per industry standards Interested please call 6361322230 Job Type Full-time Pay 20 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Work Location In person
