We are looking for a pharmacy assistant for our pharmacy retail store in Parakkandy.

Positions: Pharmacy Assistant (Sales)

Number of openings: 1

Qualification : B-Pharm / any other relevant course.

Experience : 1-2 years in pharmacy sales in a must.

- **Medication Dispensing**:

- Assist in dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Ensure accurate counting, measuring, and labeling of medications.
- Prepare and package medications according to established procedures.
- **Prescription Processing**:

- Receive and review prescription orders.
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Verify patient information and insurance details.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist in maintaining accurate and organized medication inventory.
- Monitor medication stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Check expiration dates and handle expired medications appropriately.
- **Customer Service**:

- Interact with patients and healthcare professionals, answering questions and providing information on medications.
- Handle telephone inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
- **Compounding and Reconstitution**:

- Assist in the preparation of compounded medications or the reconstitution of medications as required.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures for compounding sterile and non-sterile products.
- **Quality Control**:

- Assist in quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and safety of medications.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions, inventory, and other relevant information.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory authorities.
- **Patient Education**:

- Provide basic information to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and proper storage.
- Direct patients to the pharmacist for more complex medication counseling.
- **Collaboration with Healthcare Team**:

- Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to coordinate patient care.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
- **Adherence to Policies and Regulations**:

- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies governing pharmacy practices.
- Stay updated on changes in pharmacy regulations and industry standards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
