Job Description for Math IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme) Teacher:
Position: Math IBDP Teacher

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Mathematics to students enrolled in the IBDP program, focusing on specific courses such as Mathematical Studies SL, Mathematics SL, or Mathematics HL, depending on the school's offerings.

2. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons that align with the IB curriculum and the academic needs of the students.

4. Provide regular feedback to students on their performance, progress, and areas for improvement, both in class and through formal assessments.

5. Encourage and support students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as an appreciation for the beauty and utility of mathematics.

6. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to enhance the learning experience and accommodate different learning styles.

7. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and a passion for learning.

8. Collaborate with other math teachers and the IBDP coordinator to align teaching approaches, share best practices, and ensure the overall success of the program.

9. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of new developments in the IB curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.

11. Assist in extracurricular activities related to mathematics or academic competitions, fostering a culture of mathematical exploration and discovery among students.

12. Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures regarding academic integrity, attendance, and student behavior.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

2. Teaching certification or license, relevant to the school's location.

3. Strong knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, particularly the Mathematics curriculum at different levels (SL and HL).

4. Experience teaching mathematics to high school students, preferably within an IB school setting.

5. Familiarity with various teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, and assessment techniques.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students and collaborate with colleagues effectively.

7. Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to promoting academic excellence among students.

8. Technological proficiency to integrate educational technology tools and resources into teaching practices.

9. Demonstrated ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and respects individual differences.

10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
