Our team is looking for transcribers with extensive experience in the Medical Transcription sector, and we would like to extend our invitation to you.

**Shift Detail**:Monday to Friday (and/or weekends), Part time/Full time slots available

**About the Role**

**MEDICAL EDITOR/QA**

LH LEGAL AND MEDICAL is looking for qualified medical editor/QA to join our = medical transcription team.

This position requires editing and/or maintaining the quality assurance of the work being done by the transcription team before sending the documents out to our clientele.

On occasions, editors/QA’s will be required to transcribe and edit client dictations into text; dictations from medical professionals from various medical fields, including but not limited to patient reports, operation reports, medicolegal documents, and the like.

**Responsibilities**:

- Listening to audio dictations from various medical practitioners and accurately editing transcribed medical documents from the transcription team.
- On occasion, listening to audio dictations from various medical practitioners and accurately transcribing/converting these files into a medical document.
- Formatting converted medical documents in accordance to the client’s template and/or request, including but not limited to file naming, preferred numerical and font styles, etc.
- Familiarisation with proper grammar usage, spelling and sentence structure as well as medical jargon and abbreviations for accuracy.
- Checking transcripts for formatting, inconsistencies, and missing information.
- Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations.
- Review transcription documents for quality assurance and precision to spot and correct any errors that could impact patient care and medical liability.

**Requirements**:

- Computer savviness and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Having a sound understanding of various medical field terminologies is required.
- Typing speed of at least 60 wpm and above.
- Good to great listening skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, including but not limited to grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
- At least three years working experience in a medical editor or quality assurance role.
