Locum Nurses

Locum - Staff Nurse/ ICU Nurse/NICU Nurse/OT Nurse

The job responsibilities of a locum nurse are similar to those of permanent nursing staff, and may include the following:
Assessing patient needs: Locum nurses must be able to perform assessments to determine patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop care plans accordingly.

Administering medication: Locum nurses must be familiar with different types of medications and be able to safely administer them to patients.

Providing patient care: Locum nurses are responsible for providing hands-on care to patients, including dressing wounds, assisting with personal hygiene, and monitoring vital signs.

Documenting patient care: Locum nurses must accurately and timely document patient assessments, care plans, and treatment provided.

Communicating with other healthcare professionals: Locum nurses must be able to communicate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including doctors, therapists, and other nurses.

Maintaining patient safety: Locum nurses must ensure that patients are safe and comfortable, and that their physical and emotional needs are being met.

Adhering to policies and procedures: Locum nurses must be knowledgeable about healthcare facility policies and procedures, and comply with them at all times.

Providing patient education: Locum nurses may need to educate patients and their families on how to manage their health conditions or recover from illnesses or injuries.

In addition to these responsibilities, locum nurses may also need to be able to adapt quickly to new work environments and patient populations, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. They must also be able to manage their time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualification: BSC/ GNM having more than 2 Years of experience relevant experience in hospital

Example: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer Knowledge is a must.

License/Certification:

- Nursing License (preferred)
