Subject Matter Expert

**About the role**:
- Day to day management of SolarWinds platform which includes implementation and troubleshooting.
- Testing & Performing Orion platform upgrades.
- Optimizing and enhancing the existing Orion platform and making full use of the functionality can capability of the tool
- Tailoring alerts to reduce noise and false positives
- Integrating Orion with other internal tools including ServiceNow, Moogsoft, Splunk, Teams and Exchange
- Ensuring all assets are added and correctly tagged within Orion
- Regular training and workshops for the IT and business teams
- Creating technical documentation.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
**About you**:
- Extensive experience in administering SolarWinds Orion including Network Performance Monitor, Netflow Traffic Analyser, Network Configuration Manager, Voice and Network Quality Manager, User Device Tracker, Server & Application Monitor, IP Address Manager and Web Performance Monitor.
- Should have ability to drive end to end implementation and up-gradation of SolarWinds suites in Standalone and Distribution environment.
- Dashboard management and customization based on requirements.
- Syslog, Traps & custom monitoring configuration based on requirements.
- Strong understanding of MIB, OIDs & WMI performance counters.
- SQL scripting and SWQL experience
- Strong Windows and networking experience
- Experience of writing technical documentation is essential
- Good troubleshooting skills and an analytical mind is essential
- High degree of flexibility including weekends and out-of-hours support
- Must be hands-on
- Excellent written and oral English skills needed
- Knowledge of other monitoring tools like LiveAction, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNAC, Thousand Eyes will be an added advantage.
**Additional information**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in administering SolarWinds
- SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) Certified
- CCNA, ITIL certified. CCNP (optional)
- Knowledge of ITSM tool like ServiceNow will be an added advantage.
