**Role and Responsibilities**:
As the GM of New Project Construction, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and finalizing construction projects for our esteemed clients. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and managing the entire project construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
- Collaborating with architects and designers to ensure design specifications and brand standards are met
- Managing the permitting process and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Creating and managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Monitoring construction progress, ensuring workmanship and materials meet quality standards
- Selecting and managing contractors and vendors, overseeing their work and ensuring timely project completion
- Regularly updating hotel management and stakeholders on project progress and any potential issues
- Identifying and mitigating potential project risks to prevent delays and cost overruns
- Handling changes in project scope, schedule, and costs effectively
- Ensuring construction sites adhere to safety standards and regulations
- Overseeing project completion and ensuring a smooth transition to hotel management

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (master's degree is a plus)
- 10+ years of experience as a construction project manager in the hotel industry or similar
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
