**Job Summary**:
As a Store Keeper, you will play a critical role in managing and organizing inventory within the organization. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing various items while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to the smooth functioning of the inventory management system.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Inventory Management**:Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, goods, and supplies.
Properly label, categorize, and store items to maintain an organized inventory.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock counts and adjustments.
Regularly update the inventory database or software to reflect real-time stock status.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards when handling inventory.
**Stock Rotation**:Implement a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system to minimize wastage and ensure product freshness (if applicable).
Monitor expiration dates and shelf life of products, and manage accordingly.
**Issuing and Distribution**:Prepare materials and supplies for distribution to relevant departments or individuals.
Verify requisitions, issue items, and maintain a record of distribution.
Coordinate with other departments to fulfill their material requirements in a timely manner.
**Ordering and Replenishment**:Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase requisitions when stock reaches reorder points.
Communicate with suppliers to place orders and track delivery schedules.
Ensure that stock is replenished in a cost-effective manner.
**Quality Control**:Conduct periodic inspections of stored items to ensure they remain in good condition.
Report damaged, expired, or defective items to the relevant department for disposition.
Follow quality control procedures when receiving and storing goods.
**Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.
Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and stock-taking activities as required.
Keep records of damaged or missing items for reporting and reconciliation.
**Security and Safety**:Enforce security measures to safeguard inventory against theft and unauthorized access.
Comply with safety regulations and guidelines when handling hazardous materials.
Participate in safety training and promote a safe working environment.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Must have 3+ yr of experience as a Store Keeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items as necessary.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety and security measures in a storehouse.
**Salary**: ₹11,297.68 - ₹20,000.00 per month
