Overview:
Maintains & implements the new forms sourced by Research-Tax Content employees or provided by compliance.

Tax forms maintenance & implementation
- Code the tax forms to pull in transactional data from upstream system.
- Code the metadata received from Research-Tax Content employees
- Code the tax mappings as required by jurisdiction
- Review & Test the code written by other engineers.

Duties include using Adobe to complete front end designing of the form.
- This includes adding fields to allow the data to flow
- Adding appropriate labels on the fields
- Uploading forms to Tax Forms Catalog
- Calculate, Code, Field population the form to meet jurisdictional requirement of respective taxes
- Writing programming logic for complex forms requiring if-else, loops, iterations, conditional formatting, etc.
- Creating SQL conditional statements within form fields to aggregate data from multiple fields as prescribed by the tax authorities.
- Builds and test tax forms
- creates PDF/XML files in Forms Creator or Tax Form Catalog
- tests all scenarios in the Form Creator or Tax Form Catalog
- approves the final version of the form for migration to production in the various Avalara return products.

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- Minimum of 2 years IT experience
- Experience in SQL, Adobe Acrobat, Ncalc (OOPS concepts)
- Minimum of 2 years translating complex requirements to hand over to a development team
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Ability to effectively prioritize work, balancing support volume with project/product driven roles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Ability to lead large portion of the project
- Epic.
- Basic knowledge of Agile development methodologies
