**Job description**

As a Japanese Language Trainer, you will be responsible for providing language training and instruction to individuals or groups of learners who wish to learn or improve their Japanese language skills. You will play a crucial role in helping learners develop their proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Japanese. Your primary goal will be to facilitate effective communication and comprehension in the Japanese language.

**Responsibilities**:
Develop Training Programs: Design and develop comprehensive Japanese language training programs that cater to the needs and skill levels of different learners. Create lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to support the training process.

Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to individuals or groups of learners, both in-person and through online platforms. Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, including lectures, discussions, activities, and multimedia resources, to facilitate language learning.

Language Instruction: Teach Japanese language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural nuances. Provide instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Japanese. Assist learners in improving their fluency, accuracy, and confidence in using the language.

Assess Learner Progress: Regularly evaluate learners' progress and proficiency levels through various assessments, such as quizzes, exams, and oral interviews. Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement. Adjust teaching strategies and materials based on learners' needs and progress.

Individualized Instruction: Tailor language training to meet the specific goals, interests, and learning styles of individual learners. Provide personalized attention and guidance to address learners' challenges and help them overcome language barriers.

Cultural Awareness: Introduce learners to Japanese culture, customs, and etiquette, enhancing their understanding of the language within its cultural context. Foster cultural sensitivity and promote cross-cultural communication skills.

Learning Resources: Research, select, and recommend appropriate learning resources, textbooks, audiovisual materials, and online tools to supplement the training program. Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in Japanese language education.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and performance. Prepare regular reports on training activities, learner achievements, and areas requiring improvement.

Professional Development: Continuously enhance your own knowledge and proficiency in the Japanese language through self-study, attending workshops, and participating in relevant professional development opportunities. Stay informed about advancements in language teaching methodologies.

**Requirements**:

- Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese language (both written and spoken).
- Strong command of English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate with learners.
- Proven experience as a Japanese language trainer or instructor.
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese grammar, vocabulary, and cultural aspects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to work with learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in designing and delivering language training programs.
- Familiarity with instructional technologies and online learning platforms.
- A bachelor's degree in Japanese language, linguistics, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Teaching certifications or qualifications (such as JLPT certification) are a plus.
