Job Title: Advertising Sales Representative
**Job Description**:
As an Advertising Sales Representative, you are responsible for selling advertising space and marketing solutions to businesses, agencies, and organizations to drive revenue and meet sales targets. Your role involves prospecting new clients, building relationships, and presenting advertising opportunities across various media channels. Your duties include:
- Sales Prospecting: Identify and research potential advertising clients within target industries, geographic regions, and market segments. Use prospecting techniques, such as cold calling, networking, and lead generation, to build a pipeline of sales opportunities.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with existing clients, advertising agencies, and media buyers to understand their business needs, marketing objectives, and advertising budgets. Provide personalized consultation and recommendations on advertising strategies and solutions.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients, showcasing the value proposition of advertising opportunities. Customize proposals to align with client objectives, target audience demographics, and campaign goals.
- Advertising Solutions: Recommend and sell advertising solutions across various media channels, including print, digital, broadcast, out-of-home (OOH), and experiential marketing. Develop integrated advertising packages that leverage multiple channels to maximize reach and effectiveness.
- Campaign Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop advertising campaigns, marketing plans, and creative concepts that meet their objectives and budgetary constraints. Coordinate with internal teams, including creative, production, and marketing, to execute campaign deliverables.
- Negotiation and Pricing: Negotiate advertising rates, contracts, and terms with clients to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining competitive pricing and value for clients. Address client objections, negotiate win-win solutions, and close sales agreements in a timely manner.
- Contract Management: Prepare advertising contracts, insertion orders, and other legal documents in accordance with company policies and industry regulations. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Track sales activities, monitor pipeline progress, and forecast revenue projections using sales CRM software or other tracking tools. Generate sales reports, performance metrics, and analytics to measure progress against sales targets.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends analysis to identify opportunities for growth, differentiation, and market positioning. Stay informed about advertising trends, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies.
- Customer Service and Support: Provide ongoing customer support, account management, and post-sales service to clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and renewal of advertising contracts. Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field. Relevant experience in advertising sales or media sales may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proven track record of success in advertising sales, media sales, or related roles, with demonstrated achievement of sales targets and revenue goals.
- Strong understanding of advertising principles, media channels, and marketing strategies, with knowledge of traditional and digital advertising platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions, negotiate terms, and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Relationship-building skills and ability to establish rapport, credibility, and trust with clients, agencies, and media partners.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to analyze client needs, identify opportunities, and develop customized advertising solutions.
- Proficiency in sales CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other sales productivity tools for lead tracking, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving sales targets, driving revenue growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment, with the ability to thrive under pressure and overcome objections.
- Professional demeanor, integrity, and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
