**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Teaching and Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in English and Social Science courses. Prepare and present lectures, assignments, and assessments that meet course objectives and learning outcomes. Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and foster active learning. Encourage student participation and facilitate discussions that promote critical thinking. Grade assignments, exams, and papers promptly, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Curriculum Development: Design and update curriculum for English and Social Science courses in alignment with institutional standards and educational goals. Develop course materials, including syllabi, reading lists, and instructional resources. Integrate contemporary issues and interdisciplinary approaches into the curriculum to enhance relevance.
- Advising and Mentorship: Provide academic advising to students, helping them plan their educational paths and achieve their academic goals. Mentor students on academic, career, and personal development. Assist students in developing critical thinking, writing, and research skills.
- Research and Professional Development: Engage in scholarly activities and research to stay current in the fields of English and Social Sciences. Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and seminars. Contribute to the academic community through publications, presentations, and participation in academic committees.
- Collaboration and Service: Collaborate with colleagues in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and committee work. Participate in campus events, outreach activities, and community service projects. Engage in interdisciplinary initiatives and partnerships with other departments or external organizations.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress. Submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Educational Background: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in English, Social Science, or a related field. Relevant teaching certification or licensure (if applicable).

**Teaching Experience**: Previous teaching experience at the Institute or College level is preferred. Experience in designing and delivering online or hybrid courses is a plus.

**Skills and Competencies**: Strong knowledge of English literature, composition, and social science disciplines. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems (LMS).

**Personal Attributes**: A commitment to student success and academic excellence. A passion for teaching and mentoring students. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the department and institution.

**Professional Involvement**: Active participation in relevant academic or professional organizations. A record of scholarly research, publications, or presentations is desirable.
