Job Description: Junior Cyber Security Analyst
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Junior Cyber Security Analyst. This is an entry-level position designed for freshers who are eager to start their career in the field of cyber security. As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst, you will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals while assisting in various security tasks and projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to protecting our organization's information systems from cyber threats.
**Responsibilities**:
Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic, system logs, and security tools to identify potential security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, unauthorized access attempts, and data breaches.
Help maintain and administer security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Assist in monitoring and responding to security alerts and reports from various security tools and platforms.
Learn and utilize scripting and automation tools to enhance security operations and streamline repetitive tasks.
Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and security technologies through continuous learning and professional development.
Assist in conducting security awareness training and educational programs to promote a culture of security awareness among employees.
Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation actions in accordance with established processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Knowledge of basic cyber security principles, concepts, and technologies.
Familiarity with common network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus, but not mandatory.
**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
