**Job Overview**:
The Store Assistant is responsible for managing the storage and distribution of inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and overseeing the safe handling of goods within the warehouse or storage area. The role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to keep accurate records for all materials and products entering and leaving the store.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity, ensuring that they match the order specifications.
- Record stock levels and maintain accurate records of all stock movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the manager or relevant departments when stock is running low.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of stock takes and audits.
- Ensure that all goods are labeled correctly with appropriate details such as product codes, batch numbers, and expiry dates where applicable.
- **Storage and Organization**:

- Ensure that stock is stored safely, in the correct locations, and is easily accessible for retrieval.
- Organize goods in a way that minimizes damage and makes stock easy to find.
- Follow health and safety regulations, especially in the storage of hazardous or perishable goods.
- Ensure proper use of shelving, pallets, and containers to prevent inventory damage.
- **Stock Control and Replenishment**:

- Monitor stock usage to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
- Assist with generating purchase orders or reordering supplies when stock levels fall below thresholds.
- Keep track of the condition of goods and report any damaged or expired stock to management for disposal or return to suppliers.
- **Receiving and Dispatching Goods**:

- Verify orders before dispatch to ensure correct quantities and items are delivered to the intended recipients (internal departments, customers, or other locations).
- Prepare goods for delivery, ensuring items are packed correctly and safely.
- Record all outgoing goods, ensuring that they are properly documented.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including goods received, issued, and returned.
- Update inventory management systems or logs to ensure real-time tracking of stock levels.
- Ensure that inventory discrepancies are reported and investigated.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all incoming goods meet the company's quality standards.
- Inspect products for damage or defects upon receipt and report any issues to the supplier or management.
- Ensure that damaged or expired stock is removed from circulation and handled appropriately.
- **Health & Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols while handling goods, including lifting techniques, proper storage procedures, and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Ensure that fire exits, aisles, and storage areas are kept clear and accessible.
- Follow any other safety and environmental regulations relevant to the warehouse or storage environment.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and production, to coordinate stock requirements and distribution.
- Provide assistance to colleagues in handling stock and carrying out duties as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- **Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficient in using inventory management software or manual tracking methods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and stock management.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry goods as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting heavy objects
- Ability to perform manual tasks, such as stock picking, packing, and moving goods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
