**Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control**

**Position: Chemist / Sr. Chemist**

A leading third party manufacturing company of Cosmetics based at Ahmedabad is looking for **QA/QC Chemist / Sr. Chemist **who can coordinate, manage with all the departments and achieve the highest quality standards and safety of all the products. In this role, you have to **develop and implement the quality control systems, overseeing all the testing, ensuring the compliance with regulatory standards.**

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Quality Assurance Management**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures through SOP’s & documents required.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement.

2. **Quality Control Oversight**:

- Oversee the testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including test results, BMR, BPR, COA and inspection reports.
- Manage the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment for entire factory.

3. **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure that all products comply with relevant cosmetic industry regulations like FDA.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards, and implement necessary adjustments to compliance practices.

4. **Team Management**:

- Lead and manage the QA/QC team, providing training, guidance.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the team.

5. **Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement**:

- Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
- Identify RCA of quality problems and implement CAPA.
- Promote continuous improvement and risk assessment initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.

6. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality assurance and control activities.
- Ensure that all documentation is compiled as per the regulatory requirements and company policies.

7. **Supplier Quality Management**:

- Evaluate and monitor the quality of raw materials and packaging materials supplied by vendors.
- Work closely with purchase team and suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure consistent supply of high-quality materials.

8. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with R&D, production, and marketing teams to ensure quality is integrated into product development and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss quality-related issues and initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s / Masters’ degree in Chemistry, Pharma, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control from the cosmetics industry.
- Strong knowledge of cosmetic industry FDA regulations.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) & ISO 22716.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

**Reporting To**:

- Director

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
