Job Characteristics:Conducts theoretical or applied scientific research aimed at advancing technical knowledge and/or solving complex problems essential to Ecolab. Designs and develops experimental approaches. Analyzes research data and prepares detailed reports and presentations. Consistently brings fresh thinking, new methods and new technology forward and integrates into projects.

Education/Work Experience:Degree or Advanced degree in related technical field. BS and 8+ years, MS and 5+ years and PhD and 3+ years related experience.

Independence Level/Reports to:Provides significant input into the development of technical initiatives that result in new product concepts, technical platforms etc. Leads or acts as a key technical contributor on multiple, complex projects or experiments of significant scope of complexity with very high impact on the business. Assignments are often self-initiated. Typically reports to a senior technical leader or director.
