**Job Summary**:The Lab Instructor at Chandigarh University plays a vital role in assisting faculty members and students in conducting practical sessions and experiments in the IT-laboratory. The role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory sessions, maintaining lab equipment and resources, assisting in student instruction, and upholding safety protocols within the lab environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Lab Coordination**:
Prepare lab setups and equipment for practical sessions according to the curriculum.
Collaborate with faculty members to understand the requirements of each lab session and provide necessary support.
Ensure that the lab environment is conducive to learning and experimentation.

**Assistance during Practical Sessions**:Guide and instruct students on proper lab procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
Assist students in understanding experimental concepts and troubleshooting issues during practical sessions.
Address student queries and provide hands-on assistance as required.

**Equipment Maintenance**:Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Coordinate with technical staff for equipment repair and replacement, if necessary.
Keep an inventory of lab supplies and equipment, and place orders for replenishment when needed.

**Safety and Compliance**:Enforce strict safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and equipment.
Educate students about safe laboratory practices and enforce compliance with safety rules.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.

**Documentation**:Maintain accurate records of lab activities, including experiment details, student attendance, and equipment usage.
Assist in preparing instructional materials and lab manuals for students' reference.
Compile assessment data and assist in evaluating students' performance during lab sessions.

**Continuous Improvement**:Stay updated with advancements in lab techniques, equipment, and technologies.
Suggest improvements to lab procedures, layouts, and resources to enhance the overall learning experience.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and promote innovation within the lab environment.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Any Bachelor's or Master Degree Holder having the relevant knowledge required for this role.
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational or research institution.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using various lab equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
