Job Description: Import & Export Documentation Specialist for CHA & Freight Forwarding Industry

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Import & Export Documentation Specialist to join our team in the CHA (Customs House Agent) and Freight Forwarding industry. As an Import & Export Documentation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the documentation process for international shipments. Your expertise in import and export regulations, customs compliance, and documentation requirements will ensure smooth operations and adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Documentation Management:Prepare, review, and process import and export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, certificates of origin, and other required documents.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and customer requirements.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all shipping documentation, ensuring proper filing and archiving.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, shipping lines, airlines, and government authorities to obtain and exchange necessary documentation.

Customs Compliance:Stay updated on customs regulations, import/export laws, trade agreements, and any changes in documentation requirements.
Ensure all import and export shipments comply with customs rules and regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements.
Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and resolve any documentation-related issues or discrepancies.

Freight Forwarding Support:Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and agents to coordinate shipping schedules, container bookings, and related logistics activities.
Provide accurate shipment information to freight forwarders for efficient cargo routing and tracking.
Collaborate with freight forwarders to resolve documentation-related issues, shipment delays, and any customs-related challenges.

Customer Service:Communicate proactively with clients, providing timely updates on shipment status, documentation requirements, and any potential delays or issues.
Assist clients in understanding import and export documentation requirements and provide guidance on customs processes, regulations, and compliance.

Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.
Propose and implement improvements to documentation systems, tools, and workflows to optimize productivity and accuracy.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in import/export documentation within the CHA and Freight Forwarding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export compliance, and international trade practices.
- Familiarity with shipping and logistics processes, including INCOTERMS, containerization, and transportation modes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using documentation software, MS Office Suite, and customs declaration systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
