**Job Title**: Commi 2 - Indian & Tandoor

**Job Summary**:
The Commi 2 - Indian & Tandoor is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of Indian and Tandoor dishes under the supervision of senior kitchen staff. This role involves learning and performing various tasks to support the kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation**:

- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian and Tandoor dishes as directed by the Chef de Partie or Commi 1.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required.
- Assist in the marination of meats and preparation of dough for breads like naan and roti.
- **Cooking**:

- Help with the operation of the Tandoor oven, including inserting and removing items.
- Cook and grill various types of kebabs, breads, and other Tandoor items under supervision.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate temperatures for cooking and storing food items.
- **Kitchen Operations**:

- Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring that all utensils and equipment are clean and in good working order.
- Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Assist in the storage and rotation of food supplies to ensure freshness and quality.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all food prepared meets the restaurant's quality standards and specifications.
- Taste and check food items for quality and consistency as directed.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene practices.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work effectively within a team environment, assisting colleagues as needed.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Some experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in an Indian kitchen or with Tandoor cooking, is desirable but not essential.
- **Skills**:

- Basic understanding of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality food.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- **Education**:

- Basic culinary training or certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

**Work Environment**:

- The position involves working in a busy kitchen with exposure to heat, noise, and cooking fumes.
- The role requires flexibility with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
