**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Baking and Pastry Preparation**:
- Prepare a wide range of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, pastries, and other desserts.
- Develop new recipes and ensure all products are consistent in taste and presentation.
- **Quality Control**:
- Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- **Inventory and Supplies Management**:
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all ingredients and finished products.
- **Menu Planning and Development**:
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to develop and refine the bakery menu.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
- Train and mentor junior bakers and kitchen assistants as needed.
- **Customer Interaction**:
- Occasionally interact with customers to take special orders, provide product recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Culinary degree or equivalent certification in baking and pastry arts.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bakery Chef(DCDP) or in a similar role.
- **Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Creative flair for developing new and innovative recipes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Manual dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely.
**Working Conditions**:
- Flexible working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Working in a kitchen environment that may be hot, humid, and noisy.
**Experience**:
