A North Indian Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking traditional North Indian dishes, ensuring the quality, taste, and presentation meet the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing a wide variety of authentic North Indian dishes such as curries, biryanis, tandoori items, breads (naan, roti), and desserts (gajar halwa, kheer).
- Managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Developing new recipes and menus based on traditional and modern North Indian cuisine.
- Ensuring the proper storage of ingredients, maintaining inventory levels, and ordering supplies as needed.
- Supervising and training kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
- Monitoring food costs and minimizing waste to ensure profitability.
- Maintaining safety standards in the kitchen and ensuring the team follows all health and safety protocols.
- Managing kitchen schedules, ensuring timely food preparation and serving during peak hours.
- Collaborating with the restaurant management to update the menu, design food specials, and meet customer expectations.
