Pe Teacher

The Hippocampus School in Kodihalli, is 20kms from Kanakapura and serves the rural population of the area. The School is shortly expected to receive CBSE affiliation and has a student strength of more than 500 children. The School believes in play based methodologies and is looking for an PE teacher coordinator to drive their program.

The roles and responsibilities are:
Developing and implementing physical education programs: A PE teacher must create lesson plans and activities that promote fitness, health, and sports skills for their students. They should plan classes that cater to different age groups and skill levels, and take into account the unique needs and abilities of each student.

Teaching sports and fitness skills: A PE teacher should instruct students on the proper techniques, rules, and strategies for different sports and fitness activities. They should help students develop their physical abilities, including strength, coordination, and endurance.

Promoting healthy living: A PE teacher should encourage students to develop healthy habits that will promote lifelong wellness. This may include teaching proper nutrition, emphasizing the importance of hydration, and encouraging regular exercise.

Evaluating student progress: A PE teacher should monitor the progress of their students and assess their physical abilities, strengths, and areas of improvement. They should provide feedback to students and parents on their progress and offer suggestions for improvement.

Maintaining equipment and facilities: A PE teacher should ensure that all sports equipment and facilities are properly maintained and safe for use. They should also be responsible for inventory management and ordering supplies.

Supporting school events: A PE teacher may be required to organize or support school sports events, such as inter-school competitions, sports day, and other extracurricular activities.
