**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Book-keeping and record-keeping**:

- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, generating invoices and receipts, bank reconciliation, etc.
- Management of consultancy contracts and payments
- Payroll Management of employees and other staff personnel
- Reviewing reimbursements of client’s staff
- Coordination with client’s staff and vendors for supporting documents

2. **Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Preparing MIS reports like budget vs. actuals, cashflow, etc

3. **Financial Reporting**:

- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Prepare financial reports as per client’s requirement

4. **Donations and Grants Management**:

- Preparation of donor fund utilization report and ensuring grant utilization as per donor MOU

5. **Audit Assistance**:

- Compile and organize financial records, transactions, and supporting documents for audit purposes.
- Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and other documentation as requested by auditors.
- Respond promptly to auditors' inquiries and requests for additional information or clarification.

6. **Statutory compliances**:

- Review invoices and payments to determine TDS applicability as per the Income Tax Act
- Prepare monthly TDS working and ensure timely deposit of TDS amounts
- Prepare and file TDS returns (e.g., Form 24Q, Form 26Q, Form 27Q)
- Generate and issue TDS certificates (e.g., Form 16, Form 16A) to deductees in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Preparing and filing GST returns, Professional tax returns, FCRA returns as applicable to clients, in consultation with Seniors

**7. Client Communication and Coordination**
- Serve as the main liaison for clients, maintaining regular communication channels
- Act as a responsive and proactive point of contact for addressing client queries, concerns, and request
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and service enhancement
- The accountant should be ready to visit bank and governmental departments whenever required.
- Should be able to handle the above task independently as much as possible.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel skills
- Fair understanding of MS Excel and Tally
- A logical thinker and effective problem solver
- Willingness to learn
- Preferable to have a working knowledge of Income Tax, GST, and labour laws
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-4 years of proven experience in an accounting role

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus
