Duties

This position is a local employee in the Consular Information Unit (CIU), supporting 30 consular officers, more than 50 LE staff, and up to nine eligible family members in the provision of the full range of nonimmigrant visa and American Citizen Services. The incumbent helps coordinate outreach and responses to public inquiries throughout a consular district of 168 million, responds to consular inquires, and maintains a high standard of customer service to all involved stakeholders. The incumbent provides advice and serves as backup to the CIU LE Supervisor and helps train and provide guidance to up to three LE staff on rotation to CIU and one Entry Level Officer (ELO) on rotation to CIU. The incumbent also performs clerical duties and administrative support for the Consular Section and acts as back-up for the Consular Chief's Administrative Assistant.
