**Your field of responsibility**

You will be based in Pune office as part of the Cleared Derivatives Control team in the Global Operations department.

The team is a global team responsible for post-trade processing of exchange traded derivatives and OTC cleared products. We are strategic partners with the business in maintaining control and supporting the growth of our Wealth Management & Investment Bank Divisions.

In this role your main responsibilities would include the following:
Collateral & Margin Operations EMEA
- Supervising critical, time-sensitive margin settlements with exchanges/CCP (central clearing counterparties)/brokers for cleared derivatives products across EMEA exchanges
- Committed to BAU functions to meet margin calls with various CCPs and brokers within required timelines and appropriate funding is in place
- Managing queries related to the reconciliations against Banks, Exchanges and brokers investigating breaks and ensuring all reconciliations are completed in time
- Expert in journal postings - Review/Post manual journals in back-office systems for various transactions
- Dedicated for process transitioning, system migrations, project management. Expertise into improvement in execution of the function's control framework
- Perform BAU tasks related to the above processes where needed as support for the wider team
- Bring efficiency and enhance any sub-optimal processes or practices
- Enhanced governance of BAU processes to manage performance and risk
- Provide heightened access to functional teams & act as SME.

Utility Oversight and Control:

- This includes oversight of Utility activities, performing verification/release of margin payments, regulatory/audit face-offs, and engagement on business/project initiatives
- Review and monitor outputs (i.e. KPIs, KRIs, SLAs) from our vendor partner and produce related MI reports
- Monitor high risk accounts and processes, produce MI reports, and promptly resolve or raise issues
- Continuous improvement of the current process and procedures
- Response to strategic change initiated by and affecting the departments
- Participate and coordinate in project initiatives and UAT
- Partner concern contact for margin related queries.

People Management
- Work as a strong partner and collaborate effectively with onshore functional teams
- Governance of daily performance/KPIs/KRIs
- Enhancing the control model for the functional tasks
- Build partnership with our vendors to drive quality, control and innovation.

Compliance to Regulatory Obligations and Reporting
- Manage the team responsible for accurate, complete and timely completion of regulatory obligations and report submissions to CCPs, exchanges and regulators
- Maintain up-to-date regulatory compliance risk matrix to ensure that controls are in place to mitigate risk of non-compliance. Gaps/issues are monitored and advanced to relevant management forums
- Ensure internal reporting on MI and CCP/Broker data is completed in a timely manner and support any changes in requirements as they arise
- Perform contingency tests as and when triggered by CCPs/Exchanges
- Partner with Compliance and Risk & Control teams on keeping abreast of the regulatory landscape
- Ensure compliance with Bank's internal policies and procedures. Maintain up-to-date procedures
- Support internal and external audits, reviews and exams.

Partner and Organizational Change
- Drive and support change programs sponsored by the Global Derivatives Business
- Drive and support change mandated by CCPs, Exchanges and Regulators
- Drive and support delivery of bank-wide programs and initiatives
- Drive and support New Business requests from requirement scoping through to implementation
- Dedicated to maintain strong partnership within the larger Cleared Derivatives team and our vendor partner, FIS Derivatives Utility, who performs post-trade processing functions such as Clearing, Trade lifecycle, Margin Processing, Reconciliations, Reporting and Reference Data
- Liaising with senior level collaborators from the Front Office, Operations and other key departments representing CDC as a main contact point for queries and customer concerns.
