**Responsibilities**:
Edit and proofread content in Kannada, including articles, news stories, features, and other written materials.

Ensure that all content adheres to the publication's style, tone, and editorial guidelines.

Verify facts, sources, and data to maintain accuracy in the content.

Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve the quality of the content.

Work closely with the editorial team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality, error-free content.

Stay updated on language trends, grammar rules, and editorial best practices in Kannada.

Provide constructive feedback to writers to enhance the overall quality of their work.

Assist in the translation of content between Kannada and other languages as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass communication, or a related field.

Proficient in written and spoken Kannada with a strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.

Previous experience as a Sub-Editor or in a similar editorial role, preferably in Kannada media.

Familiarity with the nuances of Kannada language and its usage in different contexts.

Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of current events and issues in Karnataka and the ability to adapt to different writing styles.

Proficiency in using editing software and tools.

**Salary**: ₹13,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
