Clinical Psychologist

A qualified and registered psychologist with experience in working with oncology patients and their caregivers.

Capable of handling psychosocial issues which can alter the course of the disease among such patients and offer support that has a deep impact on patients' physical and mental well being throughout their journey of cancer treatment.

**Job Responsibility**:
Provide psychological and cognitive behavioural treatments by:

- Working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary oncology team to provide resources and support services for oncology patients
- Providing short/long term counselling and psychotherapy independently to assist with psychological well-being.
- Proactively involved in developing and implementing programs (workshops) for patients and caregivers.
- Co-facilitating support group sessions for patients and caregivers
- Undergoing supervision with a qualified supervisor in order to reflect on sessions, and to raise personal issues and professional concerns arising from work
- Administering and interpreting the results of psychological screening/assessment/ psychometric assessment to assist in the delivery of a psychosocial treatment plan.
- Maintaining proper documentation of patient records.
- Develop, maintain, and manage professional relationships with patients, families and other relevant stakeholders.

**Must Have**
- Post-grad in psychology with 5+ years of experience
- A good understanding about the psychological effect that cancer(or any other chronic illness) may have on the mind of the individual and their caregivers
- Openness to work in a way that is relational and service user led.
- Proficiency in psychosocial assessments
- Trained in grief therapy, individual and family therapy
- Ability to psycho educate patients on disease and treatment plans
- Trained in psychodynamic/relational work
- Experience in running group psychotherapy sessions or facilitating

groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well and think clearly under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Time management skills
- Adept in using Microsoft office
- An energetic and positive approach
