**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Subjects:

KEY RESULT AREAS
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff within the department to develop, evaluate, revise and enhance curriculum and ensure mastery of the material.
- Support and promote the mission of the Humanities Department, which centers on excellence in teaching and learning through quality instruction, curriculum enhancement, service, and faculty professional development.
- Collaborate with the Head of the department, department faculty, and staff, as well as other college officials to assist with implementing college policies, objectives, and strategic vision.
- Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, committee work, as well as service to the college as requested.
- Strictly honor the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to college regulations, policies and procedures.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.


**Requirements**:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree or higher in any academic major in Sociology/Political Science/ Economics

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Familiarity with latest literary theories, linguistics and literary work
- Knowledge of NEP and work towards integrating language curriculum towards it
- Recognise multiple ways in which students learn
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Possess an integrated outlook on learning
- Communication - communicate professionally and empathetically.
- Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate and manage multiple tasks
- Relationship Management - Relate well with colleagues and the larger interests of the organisation
- Organization & Time Management - achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Quantitative rating of student feedback.

We actively engage students in the learning process. Teachers are encouraged to take active feedback from students and share it with everyone, especially how the teacher reflects on the feedback and takes it ahead. This is an indicator of performance.
- Qualitative feedback on classroom engagement.
- Performance in standardized tests and 3rd party assessments.

Performance in the board-initiated exams, open selection tests to universities, and the other assessments conducted by external examiners will be an indicator.
- Qualitative expression of increased student interest in participation in classes.

Students express willingness to participate in certain activities based on how relevant they feel about it and also the value they find in such exercises. This expression may not be verbal but can be observed in the quality of comprehensive work they turn in. Quality expression is an indicator of high-value classes and quality instruction.
- Impact of projects and assignments on areas of study, student cognition, and selections in top universities.

The kind of projects and assignments students do will not only enhance their learning but draw attention from other institutions and universities; also draw the attention of several think-tanks in education, social work, sustenance and development, media, etc. This indicates the quality of our approach and the individual teacher’s initiative
- Quality of student portfolios in the mentees.

Our assessments will not be limited to pen-paper tests but are a record of the student work which includes photos, video profiles and testimonies, teacher statements, goal setting, and its fulfillment, projects completed, assignments, test scores, self-reflections, mentor observations, and comments, etc. The comprehensive nature of these portfolios and how it impacts their career goals is an indicator
- Number of certificate programs completed towards professional growth

Active interest in self-growth is an indicator of a teacher’s active engagement in learning and thereby an indicator of commitment to quality institutional work. The certificates collected, motivation to attend workshops is an indicator
