Job Description: Business Analytics Professor in a Business School (Bangalore)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our prestigious business school in Bangalore as a Business Analytics Professor. As a Business Analytics Professor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in business analytics, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and professional development of the department and institution.

**Responsibilities**:
Teaching:Design and deliver courses in business analytics at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including core and elective courses.
Develop course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessments that align with the curriculum and academic standards.
Utilize appropriate teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and examinations.
Mentor and guide students, fostering their analytical and problem-solving skills.

Research:Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of business analytics, with a focus on publishing in reputable academic journals.
Develop and maintain an active research agenda, collaborating with colleagues and industry partners as appropriate.
Stay updated on emerging trends, methodologies, and advancements in business analytics and incorporate them into research and teaching.

Professional Development:Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including attending conferences, workshops, and seminars related to business analytics.
Participate in scholarly activities within the institution and the wider academic community.
Seek opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness, explore new analytics tools, and contribute to the development of the field.

Departmental and Institutional Contributions:Contribute to the development and evaluation of the business analytics curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry needs.
Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
Serve on departmental committees, engage in academic and administrative activities, and actively participate in departmental meetings.
Foster strong relationships with students, colleagues, and industry professionals to enhance the reputation and standing of the institution.

Qualifications:

- Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Management Science, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Strong academic background with expertise in business analytics, data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, or related areas.
- Track record of research publications in reputable academic journals or conferences in the field of business analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and secure research funding, if applicable.
- Proficiency in analytical software tools, such as R, Python, SAS, or similar tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse colleagues and students.
- Commitment to academic excellence, student learning, and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience as a business analytics professor in a renowned business school or academic institution.
- Industry experience in business analytics, data science, or related fields.
- Experience with data visualization tools, big data analytics, or business intelligence.
- Familiarity with software packages for data analysis and visualization, such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Ability to teach additional areas within business analytics, such as predictive modeling, optimization, data mining, or marketing analytics.
