**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Procurement Management**:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for products and services.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
- Track and monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers.
- Assess suppliers’ performance and resolve issues related to quality, cost, and delivery.
- Work with suppliers to resolve any supply shortages, delays, or discrepancies.
- **Inventory Control**:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and collaborate with the warehouse team to manage stock levels.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder products to maintain inventory balance.
- **Cost Management**:
- Analyze pricing trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure that the company receives competitive pricing while maintaining quality and supplier reliability.
- Conduct regular market analysis to stay updated on the latest trends and product developments.
- **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare procurement reports, including status updates on orders, deliveries, and inventory levels.
- Support in preparing procurement budgets and forecasts.
- **Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, operations, production) to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand and anticipate procurement needs.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
- **Experience**:
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
- Experience with purchase order systems and inventory management.
- **Skills**:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- **Knowledge**:
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Knowledge of vendor evaluation and performance metrics.
- **Personal Attributes**:
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
