Position name: Ambulance GDA

Location: Delhi

Salary per month: INR 15,000-18,000 for 10 hour shift (may change depending on shift duration

Key Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
The General Duty Assistant plays a crucial role in providing support to emergency medical

technicians (EMTs) and paramedics in delivering high-quality patient care. This position

primarily involves assisting in the safe lifting, transferring, and transporting of patients during

physical strength, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Handling:
○ Safely assist in lifting, transferring, and securing patients onto stretchers and into

ambulances.

○ Ensure patient comfort and safety during transport, maintaining dignity and

respect.
- Assistance to Medical Personnel:
○ Support EMTs/ paramedics by preparing necessary medical equipment and

supplies for patient care.

○ Assist in monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to medical

personnel.
- Ambulance Preparation and Maintenance:
○ Regularly check and restock medical supplies, equipment, and emergency kits to

ensure readiness for service.

○ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the ambulance and equipment, adhering to

infection control protocols.
- Communication:
○ Relay important information to the EMTs/ paramedics regarding the patient’s

condition or any concerns during transport.

○ Assist in communicating with dispatch regarding arrival times and service needs.
- Documentation:
○ Support the completion of patient care reports and other documentation as

required.

○ Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and supply inventory.
- Compliance and Safety:
○ Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff,

and self.

○ Participate in regular training and drills to stay updated on emergency response

techniques and equipment usage.

Qualifications: - should be as prescribed under law. An illustrative list below:

- Passed 10th Grade; GDA course certification from a registered institute
- Previous experience in a healthcare or emergency services environment is an

advantage.

Pay: ₹11,244.92 - ₹18,675.82 per month
