Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Steward for our restaurant. The Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. This position requires a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to established hygiene standards.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand as needed.
- Ensure that all dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors, are kept clean and presentable at all times.
- Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, following waste management guidelines.
- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and stocking supplies.
- Set up and break down dining areas before and after meal service, including arranging tables and chairs, laying out tableware, and replenishing condiments.
- Replenish and organize supplies in storage areas, such as linens, cleaning products, and dining utensils.
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to management promptly to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff members to provide excellent customer service and support overall operations.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working as a steward, dishwasher, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
