**Furniture Designer Intern**

**Job Summary**:
Guarented is seeking a highly skilled and creative furniture designer who will be responsible for the look and feel of the furniture we use every day. They’re tasked with creating new pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, while also ensuring that these designs can be mass-produced at a reasonable cost.

Furniture designers must have an eye for detail and an understanding of human anatomy and physiology. They must also be able to work well in a team environment—they rely on engineers, woodworkers, fabricators, etc., to help bring their ideas to life.
- Creating computerized models of designs using specialized computer software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Developing prototypes of designs using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and other design tools such as digital drawing boards or drafting tables
- Creating detailed sketches or drawings of furniture pieces or other products that can be used by manufacturers for mass production
- Meeting with suppliers to select materials that meet the designer’s requirements for quality and cost
- Developing a thorough understanding of current trends in style so new designs will be desirable to consumers
- Reviewing existing furniture designs to identify opportunities for improvement or change
- Creating models of new designs for testing in physical simulations such as wind tunnels or ergonomic studies such as sitting positions in chairs

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in furniture design or a related field.
- Relevant certification in furniture design.
- Freshers/ 1 year of experience in furniture designing or a related field.
- Strategic thinker while being creative innovative team oriented
- Strong understanding of the product, accessory business, and the competitive landscape
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and CAD
- Experience in the office furniture industry, general knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail with the ability to design and manage multiple projects simultaneously

**Salary**: 15- 20k (As per experience/skills)
