Position: Accountant and HR Associate Location: India

**Responsibilities**:
Accounting Responsibilities:

- Maintain and manage financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as required.

HR Responsibilities:

- Assist in the recruitment and selection process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, including preparing employment contracts, conducting orientations, and facilitating the completion of required paperwork.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, leaves, and policies.
- Assist in the payroll process, including collecting and verifying timesheets, calculating salaries, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Support employee performance management processes, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs, including scheduling and tracking attendance.
- Assist in employee relations matters and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Stay updated with changes in employment laws and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred for the accounting aspect.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant and familiarity with HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with statutory compliances, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
- Understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
