The Role
- This position involves running DDL to create databases and objects within the databases for DB2, and Oracle.
- An understanding of permissions on objects is a requirement.
- Troubleshooting skills are a requirement. This most commonly includes troubleshooting incident tickets for access problems, but it can include any incident the users identify.
- Communication skills are a requirement.
- Deal with incidents from users who are not skilled and need basic help.
- Dealing with service requests or change records from experienced developers. Prepared to question things like should a table be part of a larger tablespace. Guide the developers about the permissions of the objects they are asking to create.

Who You Are
- Minimum 8-10+ years into Experience in Database Administration.
- Relevant Technical Experience into DB2 and Oracle Applications Administration.
- Capability of Troubleshooting Database Applications Code.
- Database Applications performance tuning.
- Database Modelling and Design Expertise is required.
