**Roles and Responsibility**

WAS Administrator
- Implement WebSphere Application Server (WAS), WebSphere Portal Server, Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server.
- Websphere Installation & Infrastructure Upgrade to higher WAS versions.
- HTTP Server Configuration & Plugin build for separate layer to reduce the overhead on WAS.
- WebSphere Application Management and deployment for enterprise/web modules deployments.
- WebSphere Advanced Administration like problem determination of WebSphere instances and configurations.
- WebSphere Application Server V8.5 admin for operational support (L2,L3) basics via console.
- WebSphere Resources - JDBC, Messaging Concepts & SIB to talk to external DB and message transformation.
- WebSphere Global Security and registry/repository maintenance.
- WebSphere Troubleshooting of JVM, SSL and Datasource problems. WebSphere Performance Tuning of JVM, Connection pool and Thread pools.
